My Brain On Chain by DocT
In “My Brain on Chain,” we inscribe an MRI scan of DocT’s brain onto the Bitcoin blockchain, turning his most personal anatomy into a permanent digital artwork. This act reveals new angles on transparency, ownership, and how art can externalize an artist’s innermost world.
Accompanying the digital piece is a physical “Ordifloppy” disk containing the artwork, the metadata, and a hidden Easter Egg that we invite you to discover. This fusion of early data storage and blockchain technology delivers a tangible “slice” of the artist—highlighting the interplay between creator, artwork, and audience in today’s ever-evolving digital landscape.

“Through the decentralized permanence of blockchain, thoughts are no longer bound by a single mind. Instead, they take root in others, forging a brief yet profound connection before they find rest—or stir further curiosity—in the depths of memory”

ORIGINAL MRI SCAN
“My Brain on Chain” amplifies the age-old question: how does an artist pour mind into medium? DocT’s original MRI scan offers a literal answer. By exposing his cognitive blueprint, he challenges collectors to reflect on the meaning of possession and identity. Here, acquiring the artwork is a testament not just to owning an image, but to owning a perspective—a nexus of transparency, technology, and creative self-disclosure.
TECH INTO CANVAS
By inscribing his brain MRI onto the Bitcoin blockchain, DocT transforms raw data into a new medium of art. Like a painter wielding a brush, he uses blockchain storage as his canvas. The accompanying floppy disk echoes this approach, recalling a time when storing and sharing data was tactile, underscoring how technology itself is both container and creation.
ARTIST MIND TO YOURS
Centered around the evocative question, "Who wants a slice of the artist?" this series presents a unique opportunity to engage directly with DocT's intellectual realm. “My Brain On Chain” challenges the viewer to digest and appreciate the complexities behind every artistic creation, as if they had been served up on a silver platter. This collection promises collectors not just art, but a piece of the artist's soul, immortalized in digital form.
THE COLLECTOR’S PHYGITAL EDITION
Each artwork is presented as a unique 'OrdiObject', a refurbished Sony floppy disk drive from the late 90s to early 2000s, serving both as the packaging and the conceptual 'frame' for the collection. This innovative presentation highlights the ‘phygital’—blending physical and digital—nature of the artwork. Instead of a traditional frame, this sculptural piece can be displayed as a standalone art object or integrated into a computer setup. The original design of these drives maintains the cohesive visual aesthetic of the artwork, allowing collectors to engage deeply with both the physical and digital layers.
